Indiana Choice Scholarship Program Provides Financial Assistance to Qualifying Families.

The Indiana Choice Scholarship Program provides qualifying families in Indiana with a financial voucher to offset tuition costs at a participating private school of their choice. You may also hear it referred to as the State Voucher Program.

β€œ In the 2023-2024 school year, 97% of families were eligible for an Indiana Choice Scholarship. ”

Eligibility requirements are:

    • Maintain legal residence in Indiana
    • The student must be at least 5 years old and less than 22 years old on or before October 1 of the school year
    • The student must be a member of a household with an annual income of not more than 400% of the amount required for the individual to qualify for the federal free or reduced price lunch program

In 2024 this amounted to a family of four who received up to $230,880 annually would meet the financial requirement for a Choice Scholarship.

With the Indiana Choice Scholarship program, students receive vouchers to use toward their non-public school tuition at participating private schools. This program aims to make additional types of schools and education more accessible to families and students who might benefit directly from what a non-public school has to offer.
